Photos of the Farm Activities
On Noel’s farm, we check on the horses...
...and feed the farm dogs.
Inside the wool-shed we replaced
the floor and made calf pens.
The calf pens were finished
in August 2006
and the calves arrived.
Lunch time for our 80 new calves. Aren’t they gorgeous?
We have a herd of a few hundred deer on the farm.
Every year the deer antlers or horns are removed.
These are called ‘Velvet’
The velvet is weighed, sorted,
and packed into crates before being sold.
Our cows on our farm land in central Paraparaumu Sheep and lambs grazing on Noel’s farm.
Shearing the sheep before the summer comes.
First they are rounded up and held in the shearing pens.
We all help with every part of the process.
Noel shears while we collect up the wool
and pack it into the huge wool bales.
Our calves are all grown up, they are being sold on. We penned them up and loaded them into the cattle truck.
